Centenarians

Case Study

THE DEAL OF A CENTURY
LIVE TO 100. GET FREE FLOATS FOR LIFE.

In June of 1919, A&W co-founder Roy W. Allen opened his first Root Beer stand in Lodi, California, during a homecoming celebration for World War I veterans.

Today, A&W lives on as America’s oldest franchised restaurant chain, and we helped them celebrate their 105th birthday with an unbelievable deal more than a century in the making.

Free Root Beer Floats for everyone over 100. For life. Forever.

“OVER 100? A&W IS GIVING CENTENARIANS FREE ROOT BEER FLOATS FOR LIFE”

Sorry not sorry, Zoomers.

What’s up with advertising’s Gen Z obsession? Kind of sus, bro. Especially when the fastest growing demo in America is centenarians, the same folks who’ve kept A&W kicking all these years.

So while other brands zoomed, we zagged to the Greatest Generation. We partnered with Baddiewinkle, the original “granfluencer”, to throw a stylish promo kickoff party with a couple real All American heroes: WWII veterans Hazel Calloway, 104, and Glendell Bennett, 100.

Just our way of saying thanks to the often overlooked fans who’ve been making memories with A&W since day one. And the internet slurped it up.
